New for '22 (or new to you) "containment thread"

It appears the plague may have subsided, wallets have opened and new bikes are popping up with some frequency here. Hopefully this will lead to some get togethers this season.

I thought it might be funs to track and comment on all the new for '22 hardware in one spot.

My Yamaha Tracer 9 GT trailered it's way home in the rain on Saturday and I put 75 miles on it Sunday. Just enough to get a feel for an initial impressions write up and work off the green and white new tires stripes.

IF they're not both sold out yet. I can't believe how fast the first one got booked solid.

I do too! Very sporty for a geezer, they’ll be a hit over in the 55+ complex.

That’s another good sign, the pent-up demand for fun is very high.

I'll join in. I've maybe already spent too much on bikes this year....

Bought a 2020 Tiger 1200 Explorer for commuting and travel. Loving it so far.

It's the Aluma MC1f - It folds up.

It's in it's 3rd year and I've been very happy with it. I did get the better wheel chock and made the wooden pontoons, as the ramp in the folding model only covers about 70% of the trailer with and doesn't really allow for putting a foot down on the ramp.

That RG is worthy of it’s own thread!!

Great to see it again and glad it’s got a good home. I think it was ‘95 when it accidentally found its way to Maine from Nova Scotia. Awesome bike, congrats!!

You should buy upper engine guards on the Tiger and swap out the stock wind deflector handguards for true Barkbusters before you drop it...ask me how I know...

You've convinced me to buy the Ranger Green Navi...if I can find one!

Yeah I’m in the market for engine guards and have a set of bark busters to throw on.

The Ranger Green looks awesome in person.

    Not a bike.. But that's SoFL's fault.

My junky old land cruiser decided it had enough of this world, maybe, and died twice like 100-120 miles from home. Drove it back, on edge the entire time, parked it in the driveway and went car shopping. Ended up buying myself a CPO m2 lol

Few weeks later my office (an hour away on a good day) decided we had to come in twice a week. So I've been glad to have it 😂

Re: New for '22 (or new to you) "containment thread"

Came with a brand new set of 80/20 Avons vs the mega chonk Shinko's on there now. Total garbage tire.

Has a few dings here/there from using it as an adv bike, but it's all cosmetic. Not even 12k miles on it. Runs like new.

Will be putting the new tires on, then commuting on it. We'll see how the seat is. Looks/feels decent, but that was only a 10 minute test ride.

Need a bigger screen too, the short Puig won't cut the mustard on highway stints. Stock one got ruined from a GoPro mount, so I'm in the market for an aftermarket larger one.

Highly recommend the Michelin Road 5. I have them on my Multi; fantastic grip at lean, good wet performance, supposed to be a 20k mile tire.

Somehow it's almost April, and I haven't bought a bike yet in 2022. In 2021 I sold three and bought three.

That's my go-to for all things street, but this came with a brand new set of Avon's for free to put on. I may try them, or if I can sell them for decent money, R5's it will be. I LOVED the Road 4's on my Wee.
