Evo-Tech, clearly the better fender eliminator

Ever since I purchased and installed the Competition Werkes fender eliminator on the original 1000RR, I wasn't thrilled with it. It had a very cheesy design and the bare aluminum made it look like something I threw together.

So, I ponied up the 90something bucks and ordered t Tail Tidy from Evo-Tech in the UK. All I can say is, what a difference. The attention to detail is awesome. (Thanks Mark for posting up numerous threads about their stuff mounted to all of your toys.)

    So, here's the Comp Werkes:

    And the Evo-Tech:

are you kidding me? The Comp Werkes has this big bare aluminum section just above the license plate with 2 bolts. It looks homemade, IMO.

Looks awesome Chuck I wouldn't even think about buying another brand, Evo-Tech IMO has the best out there. Not only does it look cleaner, it won't fall apart in a year like most other fender kits. These things are built to last

I like how the Evo-Tech spaces the signals wider apart.

Wait a minute, mark this on your calendars. Mark said something on a HONDA looks awesome!

I happily agree with you. It looks much better than a comp werkes.

Well, 3 hydraulic reservoirs, 3 wristbands. Besides, Lance doesn't have 3 wrists.

No, they're Lockhart-Phillips Sort Stalk V. One of the only short stalk brands that comes in single or dual filament, so you can have the running lights in the front.

    Thanks, I'll look into em.

p.s. I think with all that blue, R7 might have thought it was a Yamaha.

Did you order the Evotech from the UK, or are there any US suppliers? So far only place I've found is eBay, $100 delivered.

I got mine directly from Evo-Tech.

Believe me, it's well worth the money. Fit and finish are top-notch.

Thanks, ordering now for the SV. It's $89.21 delivered from the UK versus the $100, FWIW. Everyone seems well pleased with it.

Re: Evo-Tech, clearly the better fender eliminator

I've heard there is an Evo-Tech distributer somewhere in Fl but also heard is was cheaper to order direct?.
I ordered mine direct and had it within a week. The only surprise cost to me was a charge from my credit card to convert British pounds to USD...and with a simple phone call I got it waived anyways.

Are you kidding me? I never saw a charge like this when I have ordered from the UK.

Re: Evo-Tech, clearly the better fender eliminator

It was $4.95 They mumbled something to justify the charge when i called, so I just said cancell the card and they waived the fee.
I need to call again to make sure there is no such charge as I am traveling next year and don't want that conversion fee everytime I make a charge
