Nice! Just hit 35k this week on my 2012 FZ8. Love seeing people actually ride their bikes

I don't think my wrists could take 40k on that. Impressive.

Just hit 20k miles on my Ducati Streetfighter S last week, 16k of which was put on in the last 12 months since I've bought it.

Quite a feat for a Ducati! lol

I my experience Ducatis are best ridden often and hard. I put 50k on my monster with only one issue. To the OP, 40k with that annoyingly loud pipe? Are you deaf yet? That was actually an issue on my monster. New Hyper has stock pipe forevah!

    Yea it's horribly loud.

The bike is surprisingly comfortable with clip-ons and rear sets

I'm at 64,500 ish on the CBR (bought new in 08). It's slowed down drastically the last couple of years, though. I've logged a few thousand on the old shadow the last couple of years too.

    Re: 40,000 mile club

I've put about 12k on the Multi since spring of '16 thus far. Now that I've got new shoes on it I'm hoping to rack that number up quite a bit. It'd be higher but I'm not exactly a morning person, so commuting on it rarely happens... just weekend and after work trips for the most part.

"Buying a vehicle and keeping miles off of it for resale is like not sleeping with your girlfriend so she's fresher for the next guy" - Sexist comment, but always made me laugh.

that's what I was wondering as well, most I ever put on in a year was 36k I hit 100k on SV during my third year, retired it with 135k, haven't been putting the miles on that I used to, I'm still under 90k on my Vstrom, getting closer, but less than 1000 miles this year, haven't ridden since April, I don't think I rode over 4 or 5k last year, 25k-30k/yr used to be my average

The more I think about it, I may have been closer to 60K on the GPz...
