I saw a high of 48 today, did anyone one ride?

I promised myself when I put my bike "away" in late November that if temps reached above 45ish and the roads weren't bad around my area I would take my bike for a mid winter ride, if for nothing else than to be able to say I rode in whatever month I did it in. Plus, I figured it would be a good way to get a little two wheeled "fix" since I knew I would need one.

Well, today while finishing helping my buddy move some furniture I saw the temp on the dash of my truck peak past 45 and when I checked the weather on my phone it was confirmed. So, we both grabbed our bikes and went for a little cruise.

Nothing to crazy, rode from Marlboro to Hudson, up 62 to Boylston via 70 then back to Marlboro via 290. It was only about 25 minutes of riding total, but damn did it feel great. I really needed some time on the bike.

Did anyone else get out there today? Saw a black sport bike (no idea what, to much glare) on 70 and earlier in the day some sort of Harley small cruiser in Hudson.

I hope we get another day in Feb or March. Get over that pre-spring hump.

High of 38 here in Vermont today. I rode about 100 miles. Nice day; felt great to be out.

I took my bike out for a quick 3-5 mile ride on thursday of last week. The roads are just far to sandy to feel comfortable on so she's back away... But as you said. It feels fucking great!

Took mine out for a 1 1/2 hour ride it felt great! I took the Moosehill St. twisties way slow, too much sand on that road. I pulled off of the side of the road & pushed it into a little bit of snow to park off of the road edge for a moment. It sure didn't want to roll out of the snow very easy. I should have had knobbies on the rear because those Avon Storms have zip for snow traction.

I can't wait till Spring gets here.

Took mine out for a quick rip on rt 93, the fells, then up through winchester. Lots of sand and potholes but better than sitting around the man cave for sure. Wife thinks I`m nuts anyway.

I went out for a while, did a Cape Ann loop. Funny how 43 feels like 70 in January. It was great. The roads look bad with all of the salty crap on them but are fine to ride. I did have to hose the bike off when I got back home.

I saw 5 other bikes while I was out - 4 Harleys and I believe a Duc Sport Classic.

Yeah Doc. I was the one who rode with you today haha. It was a hell of a time as I have not ridden in over a month. It felt good for that adrenaline rush. (Minus getting boxed in by assholes @100mph on 290). As for the bike it was a 04/05 cbr 1k. The ride was great but rt. 70 got a little chilly. As was the ride back to Ashland where my storage unit is @ 5pm. that was not enjoyable at all. The ride was definitely about 45mins-hour. See you in MARCH!!! hahhaa

I had the VFR out both Friday and Saturday, 'bout 100 miles overall.

Nothing adventurous, stay on main roads / interstate, watch for sand, keep lean conservative, get back in one piece.

Winter's also a great time to practice "SEE" or SIPDE" as cagers REALLY aren't expecting us.

If we start to see steady 40+, I'll be commuting into Boston as well.

I should do the brake break-in on Annalisa's bike, since it's supposed to be a ride-able temperature.

And with it being cooler, the rotors and pads will cool down faster.
