    Dirt bike guided tour, recs???

So due to poor planning, Covid travel restrictions, high airfare due to Covid, hotel availability due to Covid and way too many people at places due to Covid.
( but mainly poor planning on wife's part)

I have 3 weeks to burn by EOY for vacation.

Late to the game this year but any recs for a multi day( 3 maybe 4) dirtbike tour in the continental US or US. I can take off maybe total 7 days( incl travel days) 3/4 days riding 1 day to to decompress on either end and then fly back

I was thinking of this for 3 days in the Mojave
    https://coyotetrailadventures.com/

I was thinking of meeting up with Breakdirt and just riding with him but....he doesnt have that many days to take off and i dont want to step too much on his hospitality.

Looking to rent a bike, be with a group vs solo. just pack soem gear and have everything taken care of by them.

Any recs? Baja is a possibility but maybe too much $$$ ?? and time commitment? and well Covid re entry from Mexico might get complicated in the future, who knows.

Reached out to my friend in Vegas if she knows anyone.

    Dont need 5 star accomadations

I could drop 3gs for the right outfit. but less is better........ Going to treat myself due to not really going anywhere this year.

Anyone wants to join you're more than welcome.

PS not trying to get the most bang for my buck this time, with my late start i know i might overpay, not get the best "ride" but I at least wont be at home

Off-road, I'm much the ATV type. I've always wanted to head to the Hatfield-McCoy trails. Not sure if 2-wheeled vehicles are allowed though, I have no idea.

Bikes are welcome at Hatfield McCoy. Large group of us usually goes down every October to ride for a week.

There may be bike rental places down there but I know there's a place that rents UTVs in Ashland.

I'm doing a 2-day event next month with 220 Off Road Tours in Laughlin, NV. They have bikes for rent too but unfortunately, I have no experience with them.

Our yearly Baja trip is not til March, but no issues border crossing last time I went.

I've done some fly and ride with Traction eRag in Canada. They are not much of an option right now but will be again in the future after the border opens.
That said. A fly and ride guided two wheeled adventure is tops. I'm sure there are plenty of joints out west that do it. Find one and go.. It's dumb fun and builds great memories. I think about any crew with enough going on to have rental bikes is going to be a great time.

It's a great way to see some amazing places and meet some really cool people.

I'm going to do two weeks in Idaho next summer. I guess the single track is great out there. I'm not sure about the rental end of things though, so I'm not much help.

Which trails are you guys riding? I was there for a week in May, and was just down there the last week of September.

At Rockhouse if you're going to hit 199 or 197, it's much easier to do it from the 95 end. Going the other direction in the wet is a straight up cunt. Also, if you do hit 199, they logged it in the middle, and it's easy to lose the trail. Coming from the 95 end, you want to go in maybe a few hundred feet, and look for a really hard right back into the single track. It's easy to miss. 188 is way easier starting off from the 29 end. 95 is way easier going down from 31. The other way is going up 95 from 30, which can be a short cut. It's just got a few difficult spots.

At Buffalo 172 and 171 are fun, but start with 172 first, at the 34 end. There's one rock garden in it that's a little difficult, and a couple downhills, but it's a fun trail. 199 is more fun from the end up near 26. There's one uphill with a 180 degree turn in it that's beat up, other than that it's a fun trail. Hitting it the other way is much more difficult. I don't remember anything else there that stands out as far as direction goes. Buffalo is our favorite place to ride down there.

I rode on a gummy Goldentyre for the last three days down there. Not bad in the big picture, but cmpared to the Kenda Ibex is had been using, it fucking sucked. I also have used a Dunlop AT 81 EX gummy there which was really good. But the Ibex is fucking awesome down there. It will last and work great for 300 miles down there running around 7-8 PSI on my 500 ECX. That's with a ton of abuse on rocky single track. Not sure when you guys are heading out, but I've got three new 18" Ibex tires in my basement if anyone wanted to try one out. I rode on an MT-16 for years down there, and compared to the 81EX or the Ibex, it's a piece of shit.

Also, I put my shifter through the case cover on 151. So now in addition to carrying a first aid kit, I carry JB weld. It was a two hour wait on the hill while my buddies went back to the truck to get the epoxy for me.

Have fun! Sorry to the OP for going way off topic.

Re: Dirt bike guided tour, recs???

If I had the ability to go anywhere and ride for a week, I'd pick St George, UT. Terrain is a bit gnarlier there than the Moab slick rock.

Looks like you can rent a KTM 500 for $300/day and a 350 for $280. I just clicked on the first link that popped up.

I'm in Vegas right now, it's peak season now so airfare and hotels are pretty expensive. Most brand hotels (Hilton/Marriot) are getting upwards of $200/night. I think my airfare was nearly $600.
