    996 vs. Bimota Sb8R vid

Vid of two guys going balls to the wall on some narrow roads and a crash that could have been very ugly.

    *Possibly NWS because of ads*

my more fanciful ending wouldve been...
the good samaritan with no shirt wheels the ducati around the corner and tries to take off, which leads to a chase with a broken bimota and a "battle royale" in a cage.

Um am I the only one who thinks that was STUPID?!? I guess I value my life and family a bit too much for that shit. That kind of riding is for the track if you ask me. The good side was that no one got killed or hurt to bad.

Yes it was stupid, but entertaining. Im not gonna fight Chuck Liddell in a cage match, but Ill pay money to watch Tito Ortiz do it. Just like I'll buy Ghostrider 6 when it comes out. It's called living vicariously.

There was a lot of center line crossing in that vid. Pretty stupid on the open road, IMO.

That guy definitely lucked out that his bike bounced off that stone wall and didn't slide over it. They would've been picking both him and his bike up with winches if it had.

Yup, pretty stupid. At least he crashed where he didn't hit a pedestrian or a bicyclist. If someone want to risk their own life, fine. Just don't do it in a place where you're risking someone else's life too.

I agree they were riding too crazy for any streets and especially those streets. They should have taken it to the track and were lucky it ended like it did. I thought they were gonna take out one of the guys on bicycle.

I love it when fun posts bring out the safety police. Posts about obvious motorcycling no-no's seem to elevate their standing among other safety nazis.

Speaking of superbike magazine here is a vid of some bike show.

Warning, this film is rated 'C' for cool since it has boobies and other neato things, oh ya, and bikes too I think

They were riding stupid, but really they weren't going that fast.
At one point both of them pulled away in a power wheelie. No way either one of them was out of second gear......I wouldn't be surprised if it was first gear, seeing that I own a modified 996 and they don't wheelie like an R1 or Gixxer 1000.

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike

Have you ever been to Europe? A lot of the roads are like that. I spent a lot of time just outside London and you should see the people drive their cars. Its crazy they are all over the place.

I thought it was some good video and some nice riding. A bit faster then I would be going and that dude is super lucky. If I were one of the a guys on the bikes they passed I probably would have ridden past them and laughed at them after that one.

Yup... There was a vid not too long ago of those knuckleheads in France... The guy on the Superhawk took a pretty good digger if I remember correctly.
IMHO, there's a big difference between tempting fate (which I suppose we all do from time to time) and waving your dick at it.

Either way, if you want to use every inch of pavement, you should be on the track.

I agree with Nazo, though... I think it appears faster than it actually was. I don't see a 996 lofting the front end that easily at higher speeds.
