Photos of the CBR when I first got her back in 6/06:

    And today:

After modified the rear fender, installed short stalk directionals, new pegs (after reinstalling the passenger pegs), new double bubble windscreen, frame sliders, weighted bar ends, and removing the ugly rubber boots on the mirrors. (I still need to paint the mirror metal flat black.)

Hrm. I understand the need for passenger pegs, but that pipe with the new bend / location isn't doing it. It's on a weird line..

Overall thou those 900RR's are so classic. Looks good dude. Simple, slick, and fast.

It's actually not a new midpipe, but the Two Brothers turned a little bit to fit the bracket I made. I think it looks a little odd myself, but it's better than the other 3 options(for the money):
    1) getting a new system
    2) reinstalling the stock system (no way!)
    3) having a custom midpipe made

It works and the wife can ride too, so I'm happy.

I tried that route last year. They stopped making the standard mount midpipe for my bike a few years ago. The only thing they sell for a 97 is a slip on.

So, I'd have to get a custom midpipe made or find someone with a standard mount midpipe they're looking to get rid of.

    read my mind.

I say get a long bolt or a peg from a clip-on set & bolt it through the pipe bracket that was meant for the highmount midpipe.

I am sorry, but that looks awful. I am normally function over form, but it looks like the exhaust is scared of the bike.

Agreed. It's the first thing I noticed, it doesn't seem to flow....my 2 cents.

I looked into this as well, but it requires cutting the plastic. I was going to model it after the Devil high mount on the 929, but the rear plastic is completely different.

While I agree the midpipe exhaust looks odd...

The 900RR is still one of my all time favorite looking bikes... a nice big fat pig... just like my 7R.

fab a bracket that lowers the peg mount so it's below the tail, then space it out away from the bike
