    Adam,
We never had the chance to meet but from all the good things said about you, I am sure it would have been a pleasure.
My thoughs & prayers are with you and your family. but if there is a Heaven I know you are there and watching over us all.

Does anyone have funeral details I would like to pay my respect.

    Thanks

I will check to see if it is appropriate to post details here of the arrangements.

IF I post details here, PLEASE do not just show up out of curiosity or to meet up with fellow riders just for the sake of it. If you knew Adam or genuinely want to pay respects then that's ok. I'll check to see if I can release details here.

That's me on the left as well, and the first time I met Adam was on that group ride. So awful to think that such a great guy can be taken away so easily. I'm very sorry to hear about this and my condolences to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed I'm sure.

I rode through the winter with Adam, hung out with him every Thursday night at Moto Market, rode with him this season, talked with him via e-mail every day, went to his house and met his wife (Annie) etc., so I definitely feel it is appropriate that I attend the services.

What I don't know (this is a first for me) is if it is appropriate to ride to the services. I wanted to get a small group of his good friends together and ride down to the Cape for the services.

That being said, I definitely do not want to do anything to upset Annie or his family. I know that Adam would want us all to march on and and keep riding, but I don't want to upset anyone.

I asked my wife what she thought (doesn't own a bike and won't even ride pillion with me) and she felt it would honor his memory as Adam loved motorcycles so much.

I'm not trying to hijack this post or cause any trouble or start a huge debate, I just want to do the right thing. Thanks...

I too was wondering the same thing. I didn't know him quite as well as some, but I would still like to pay my respect to him and his family. I was thinking of riding down, but I can't figure out if it would be appropriate.

First and more importantly, deepest sympathies to Annie on her loss and to the rest of Adam's family and friends.

He was truely an amazing person, and as a fixture at MM myself, he was a person I always looked forward to seeing. He we kind, genuine, and had an easy manner about him as well as a quick cheeky wit that always made me smile. A brilliant lad who will be long missed.

As well, not sure of the protocol, but I know myself, R1 Rob and some of the other MM regulars will likely be riding down in memory of Adam

I think it would be completely appropriate. Adam loved bikes and riders and I am confident he would be dissapointed if you did not.

One other thing, it's not a Memorial Service, it's a Celebration of Life which is sooooo much more appropriate for him.

This is going in the paper so it's appropriate to post here:

    Adam J. Bell, 32
Avid motorbike enthusiast; completed Saddlesore 1000
WAYLAND - Adam John Bell, 32, died Monday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Connecticut.
He was the husband of Annie Jackson Bell, formerly of Sandwich.
Mr. Bell was originally from Worcestershire, England, and a earned a degree in technical communications from Coventry University in England.
He was a technical writer for Reva Systems in Chelmsford.
He was an avid motor sport enthusiast who loved riding his Triumph motorcycles.
He spent countless hours tinkering in the garage and riding with friends. He recently completed the Saddlesore 1000, a New England ride covering 1,000 miles in 24 hours.
He loved sausages, ice cream and anything with wheels. He also loved his friends and family, the pet rabbits he shared with his wife, a good joke and a nice glass of Scotch whisky.
He had many friends and riding companions.
Besides his wife, survivors include his father and step-mother, John and Jackie Bell of Callow End, England; a sister, Lucy Perry of Powick, England; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, with a celebration of life at 4 p.m., at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA 02563. Burial is private.
Memorial donations may be made to Child and Family Services, 1061 Pleasant St., New Bedford, MA 02740.

I'm not sure who I've met before so I don't know who to look for, but I would like to connect with everyone tomorrow night. I will be on my dark blue BMW K1200GT with a First Gear all black mesh jacket and a silver helmet.

Any descriptions of who to look for are much appreciated. Thank you very much!

...and that is Adam's wife's wishes also. His bike will be inside the funeral home on display.

For those that are in my position and didn't know him well nor even had the pleasure of meeting him in person that are trying to decide whether or not to attend the ride from MM to the service on Saturday, I'll tell you that I would be honored to be attend this memorial ride and the service.

Even though I never personally met him I feel that it would be appropriate to pay my respects to a fellow rider and his family, help celebrate his life and be there to support my friends that had the privilage of knowing him.

Derek, if you or anyone else feels that my support would be more appreciated simply by being there in spirit let me know. I would love to be there for you guys but would rather not overstep my bounds if you think it would be less than appropriate.

Personally, I know that I would love it if a ton of fellow riders could get together & meet for the first time at my funeral after paying their respects.

I just got a PM from A996S and I am still in Shock. I just spoke to Adam this past Thursday. He was considering looking for a home up around the way I live in Townsend. I really can't express my feelings right now because they are in such a jumble. Adam..............is gone. What a fine lad he is. I can't believe I just made this statement. What a great person Adam is to know......................................................................I 'll miss him dearly.

Gods Speed Adam! You did what you loved. Please watch over the rest of us if you can. We'll miss you to no end.

Damn, hard to think straight when you hear of a fellow rider getting killed. I only posted with him briefly and was hoping to cross paths at the Maine Euro meet a week ago. Real bummer to hear this passing.

I met Adam on that big group ride, which was also my first. Think he was one of the first guys I met at MM...I asked him about his bike. Very nice guy, and very upsetting to hear about this tragedy.

    RIP Adam.

Only you can answer that question. if you want to pay respects, then by all means join the ride. Please, let his Triumph Riding friends who have organized the ride go behind Adam's bike which will be on my truck, then follow after them.
