Need some advice on a possible buy

Hi guys and gals, I have been inactive since I had to sell my bike last summer to buy a car, but have been looking around lately on craigslist for a cheap 600 to cruise around on.

I know that most of the people on this board know a lot more than I do about bikes, so here is the ad I have been looking at most recently - Suzuki Katana 1991 GSX600 for sale . It has been a while but this seems a bit low to me, any help would be appreciated. Thanks! =)

Looks like a good deal to me. As with all older bikes, check and see if the fork seals and/or rear shock are leaking, look for oil leaks, and take it for a ride to make sure it performs ok. The Katanas ran air cooled Suzuki GSXR motors, which are known for being quite tough.

For the asking price, it looks like a good deal. Just be cautius of hidden time bombs that wil cost you a lot in the near future.

You're looking for a cheap 600, and I would say that fits the bill. (So long as there aren't any major issues...)

Thanks for the tips guys, sounds like I better jump on it quick if I want it. Talked to the seller and everything seems to be in order (title, etc.), gonna see if I can check it out tomorrow (Tuesday) after work. I'll let everyone know how it goes if I hear back.
