I only watch riders on that kind of bike. While I appreciate the skills for it, I have no desire to do so myself. I am all about the cruise and enjoying the area.. Damn cool to watch though.

I got my license through this place. took the test on their ninja 250 at their facility with the teacher. It's well worth taking the course especially if you're nervous. Taking the course gives you practice and confidence.

Somehow an administrative error dropped my m/c endorsement during some renewal when I lived in CT. I noticed when I moved to MA and they refused to give the endorsement because it wasn't on the CT license I was trying to transfer Not a huge deal since I don't have a street bike anymore...but man, I don't want to take the test again someday!

MA tried that shit with me when I upgraded my license. No endorsement on my temporary. Clerk told me they had no record of me ever taking the test. I showed them old license with the endorsement on it to get it back on. I shudder to think what would have happened if I left without noticing the discrepancy.

Also, there is a training wheels in Pittsfield. It's worth taking the course in the fact you get a discount on your insurance and automatically pass your license exam when you complete the course.

Worse case, stop by their parking lot and practice there. They should have a painted box on the ground. Seem to remember it's on the way towards Lebanon Valley on the left.

I feel like these are being glossed over. Why wouldn't anyone just suck it up and take the course? The insurance discount covers the cost in short order and it's cake to test that way.

Good point. Not sure about MA, but there are courses in NH that you can take and use their smallish machines for the whole deal. The course, practice & the road test are all done there, on their bikes. Badda BING!

We have a couple courses here that do this. One is near by... finances are the primary concern. but perhaps I can jsut hold out for a bit longer. Not sure..

Yup, I'm aware. We have a few riding schools in NH as well as NH DMV who offer classes.

Taking the test on your street registered dirt bike would be simple especially after the slow speed training you have done on it.

I thought so too, except such a bike likely has not been inspected and lacks certain components required to pass inspection.

Ironically there was what appeared to be an older dude running through the painted course on an older Goldwing Friday at the Hookett, NH Tri-Town Arena.
