Ran out of gas with my R1 again todayThat's the second time this season..but the kicker is, today the low fuel trip was only at 5.8 miles. How can this thing be so inconsistant? Normally I'm comfortable going 10-15 miles with the low fuel light on.
Lucky today there was no pushing as it ran out about 1 mile from my house. I learned the last time time leaning the bike side to side a few times gets ennough gas to get it started and cover some ground.
If this bike wasn't so full of awesome, I'd hate it![]()

Wow that is weird how thirsty that beast is ,on my 08 R1 it is not so bad 130m before the light turn on all I do is add $10,00 and good to go for another 130m
as for reserve I have pushed it up to 25 miles (keeping it below 6.000 rpm) I was lost and looking for a gas station .
I never ran out with the yam, on the road but I did run out when I was doing a FI tune. I don't like that light on. Did it so the upper tank was dry.
