Read the reviews ,, and still bought 2 X1's today . Some were happy with them and some were not ( typical ) so we'll see come spring time . Anyone have experiences with them ? I wasn't looking to get the acclaimed 5 mile range ,, but to be able to tell the G/F when there is something to look out for makes sence to me . So we'll try them ,,, There's always E-Bay if they don't work

A few of us have them. I think they're great. The range they tell you is in prime conditions, you won't get close to that. And battery life isn't really that great. I'd say it was a great purchase.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

I have one. Used them at deal's gap. And I use it here a lot, too, but none of my buddies have them so mostly I use it to listen to music. You can plug two auxilary audio devices into it - so I can have my radar detector (V1) and my mp3 player plugged into it. I like them.

i think the X1 goes for about $250-260 new. how do the speakers mount inside the helmet? i've only seen pictures of the kit, but not a good look at it installed. looks like they could move around easily or fall out.

the majority of helmets actually have pockets built in, and there is adhesive you can put on the speakers to stick them to the cheak pads.
