need a source for pipe bending/welding

anyone know a place that can mandrel bend stainless pipe? if they also weld that would be a plus but I have a couple welding sources so that's less of an issue. I need to build up a custom rear header/collector and I want to stick with stainless for a clean matched look to the rest of the exhaust. basically I need the same thing I already have but with a small change to one bend so I would just hand over the current piece as a template for the new one

well it seems that they dont have a website, but here's the phone number and street address. These guys are real friendly and do great work for a good price, nice and fast, im not sure if they do the type of work youre looking for but its worth asking. There's also Lou's Custom Exhaust, they have a bunch of locations but they tend to be a bit more expensive and less personal.

Re: need a source for pipe bending/welding

I've used Lou's a few times for small muffler repair jobs on a few vehicles (weld a hanger back on, weld in a new cat, etc. For anything really custom that you want to be well crafted, long lasting, and/or pretty I'd look elsewhere. They crush bend pipes, and their stuff usually rusts pretty quickly because they use lower quality materials (even if you pay for the more expensive stainless).

I have never heard of a basic exhaust shop that mandrel bends pipes. Lou's doesn't, and they don't have real stainless (300 series), only 409.

I haven't found any decent local place for SS mandrel bends, I usually order them from ether Columbia river mandrel bending http://store.racing-solutions.org/ or global http://www.globaltecheng.com/Product...65&pageStyle=H
Both are way cheaper than most automotive/motorcycle specific stores.

lou's is junk. if you want crush bend, cheap material exhausts for cheap go to lous. http://www.burnsstainless.com/ will have any bend in any material you need. then just get it cut and welded for your application.

There was a place in the 80's that did stainless mandrel bending and pipe fabrication, and headers and systems for rods and custom. It was Tubular Automotive,or a name to that effect.I believe they were in Rockland,Ma. or thereabouts.
