    Aprilia Tuono

    Hey All
    I am looking to pick up a new ride sometime this year since the wife and I are both employed comfortably for the first time since last year. I am in no rush right now so I can take my time. I am a huge vtwin fan and have found that the Tuono might just be what I am looking for. Budget is like 4-5k. I am looking for feedback on what years are good/bad.

    Please give me some feedback. Thanks

    Tuonos are awesome, any year... the early ones aren't as Fugly. Another option is a Falco, which are often cheeeeeap.

    Yeah smitty talked a lot about a falco....like the looks of the Tuono better. Thinking a 2003 or so

    I love mine!!! The pre-07 Tuono has much better wind protection and you could probably get a pretty good deal on one. But then you don't get the new engine.

    As for the falco, it's a great bike as well..

    the falcos are def a good alternative. When I was in a bind I had my 07.5 for sale for like 6500ish. Might be hard to find that body style for lower then that. But i do agree with everyone else, pipes sound nice!

    Doesnt get much nicer then this

    Someone was dumping an 08 or so not long ago on the Aprilia Forum. They wanted like $7k for it, so it was a bit higher than you are looking to spend but only a few thousand miles.
    The Rotax engines are really reliable. Good bikes, but I am biased.

    Say what? I recommended a 650, he wanted an SV1000 - so I thought he could inject some style into the equation

    Hey i have my Aprilia SL1000 Falco Mille for sale... looking for 4500 OBO. Has Dual CF pipes & Power Commander. Excellent shape. Very nice bikes. Its cool that Aprilia put a built in lap timer in the dash and handle bar, shows how race inspired they really are. Email me if your interested.
