These ATV and other riders are really getting out of control

    https://www.wpri.com/news/local-news...t-in-cranston/

Video doesn’t have it all but the gist is ATV and bike riders causing havoc. Pushing cop, running over his leg and breaking windows of his cruiser.

I’d like to see one of those A10 strafing runs done on these guys but with paintballs instead of ammo. Or one of those forest fire choppers dropping water on them.

When I was in school out west I lived right off one of the bases for the planes. One of them lost an engine right after rotation and dumped it's entire load on the gas station just off the end of the runway. The mess was epic.

I guess you could say both sides were playing the victim card.

I was driving home today and 3 cars on the highway were driving at about 130 weaving in and out of traffic. At first I was like...wow that's irresponsible. Then I started thinking how I've done similar on a motorcycle. *shrug*

A little awareness of what's going on in the world is good. But with enough of it, eventually it becomes outrage porn. Idiots gonna idiot.

That's what it looked like to me.

The first half of the clip reminded me of Reno 911. The life/art imitation cycle is complete.

The total energy and risks to self vs. others (i.e. the ethics) are wildly different for bikes doing 130 vs. cars doing 130.

Yeah I thought about that too. But then I thought only pussies do 130 on a bike. That's second gear territory!

That’s a big problem in Springfield. Large numbers running around the streets. Most bikes are stolen. Cops can’t do anything about it. They don’t engage.

In Providence where the scooter rider ended up in a coma and still is it was ruled the police officer hit the stop sign and the sign hit the rider. Two day suspension. Some getting counseling for their interactions with the crowd on the scene, some for not turning on cameras and narcan retraining.

I'd like to hear what the "leader" of these ride out groups would say. If only they had a place to ride the woman wouldn't be beaten? Maybe time for police driving heavy equipment, like those snowplow trucks that have a second plow on the side. Just do a major sweeping of the groups.

they just post these group rides up on social media...not sure they even have a leader...just a bunch of cvnts riding around on atvs, dirt bikes and scooters thinking they own the roads cause the police are being held back by the mayor/commissioner

Re: These ATV and other riders are really getting out of control

Several of the men were described as riding blue colored dirt bikes.
Described?!?!? As if there are no traffic cameras at the intersection of Smith / Orms street?!?

The Mayor and Commissioner refuse to allow the Providence Police to engage in proactive measures to keep these unsafe vehicles off the street, but where do they draw the line? The more we embolden criminal behavior and turn a blind eye, the worse the city will get. How many more innocent people have to be hurt and traumatized before the Mayor and Commissioner see that giving criminals the keys to the city does not work?
It's like with Drump, you keep turning a blind eye to the "crimes" and after a while it becomes "normalized" and accepted. When it was still considered a crime & the police attempted to stop/arrest/hold accountable the riders they at least pretended it was illegal and you would only see them out Ridin Dirty a few times a year late at night. Now every time I'm in the city it's not "will I see the Dirty Riderz" it's when and how many groups. They just whoolie by the cops with their balls out givin the finger and the cops just sit there and take it 95% of the time.

I was at the Smith / Orms intersection a few weeks ago, there is a SMALL park / basketball court and there were 3 gas powered ATVs being ridden by 5-7 year old kids in the park while other users "attempted" to use the park & courts as well. Starting them early now, to normalize dirt biking in the city even more.
