    August issue Cycle World

    Holy sheeit batman. The 1098 ran off a 9.78 qaurter mile, blowing every other bike away including the gsxr1000. Damn that's fast! Hey James, who needs suspension work when your bikes that fast in the straights??

    Yup, the 312 was in their along with the Aprilla. Also all 4 Jap 600's and all 4 Jap 1000's with the Suzuki 750 and the Daytona 675 thrown in for good measure.

    Hmmm .. now that I think of it you were over in the breakdown lane for a bit. I figured you got a phone call or had mechanical difficulties. Maybe you were watching for the drag start lights to change RED - YELLOW - GREEN before you took off and missed the turn?
