    Bar end weights?

I just swapped out my stock bar ends for a set of slider bar ends. I noticed that the stock ones, which I thought were cheap plastic, were actually metal. About a pound each. QUestion... Does the weight of the bar ends have any impact on the vibration you feel in the grips when riding??The after market ones I put on are extremely light in comparison. Just curious>

    Bar end weights?

btw, if you look at my bike you'll notice i don't even have any on there... i took em off a while back cuz one got pretty scraped up... i took a dremel to em, smoothed em up & kinda polished em... just haven't put em back on. That was over a year ago now.

Handlebars are for pussies... countersteering is a hoax created by the government to keep our hands busy while riding.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. You just changed out a set of good, weighted bar ends that reduce vibration and cost $12 each to buy from Honda, for a set of cheap plastic bar ends that will buzz like a sonofabitch and cost $20 a set.

Hey, look at the bright side, the $10 bar ends that vibrate will save your $12 bar ends that don't, right?

If anyone can tell me what logical reason you would have for changing your bar ends, please feel free to post here.

As much as I hate to steer this thread away from hot chicks on bikes.....

When I bought my R1, it had one aftermarket chrome-and-rubber bar end and one stock one. The bar with the stock bar end would always make that hand go numb. I removed it (this took some effort ), and installed the other aftermarket one, and my hand stopped going numb.

I can't speak for Honda's bar ends, but the aftermarket doo-hickeys were a *big* improvement on my Yamaha.

From personal experience... I've found that the plastic, delrin,"slider" bar ends suck and they caused vibrations.

I'll stick with the weighted bar ends... I suppose some chrome and rubber ones would also help dampen vibrations.

Now... lets get back to more pics of hot chicks on bikes.
