Bare metal or paint?

So should I leave my tank bare or paint, vinly wrap, etc?

I wouldnt leave it bare, if you wanna leave the metal look Id put some sort of clear over it at the very least.

You could PC it. Pretty cheap alternative, it'll look great and is very very durable.

of course it is... it's bare mild steel... what did you expect?!?

If you decide to wrap it, make sure u spray a coat of primer to seal it... it will rot from under the vinyl.

Any exposure to outdoor air is going to make it oxidize very quickly.

I knew it would rust but, I was not expecting 10 minutes of be exposed to rain.

When PO painted the bike he cutout stencils on the tank, what you think I found everywhere when I stripped the tank. Perfect little shapes of rust from the PO cutting out stencils with a razor blade on the tank.

Meh, saw them on a R1 at the local dealer and thought they looked like shit. If/when I put pipes on the R1, it'll be a set of LeoVince Carbon/Carbon slip-ons They're the only ones IMO that flow nice with the tail section
