    Bath in a Bottle?

The last time I rode my bike there was some salt on the road, didn't have an opp to wash it before temps dropped and now it's in my house for the winter. Any ideas on what to use? Thinking just spraying the hell out of it everywhere with simple green or the like. It took some effort to get it in the sunroom, no intention of taking out before new season. ideas?

You don't want to use simple green unless you can rinse it very well. WD40 might be your best option here. Spray it on, wipe it off.

I would just dowse it with Honda clean or something like that and wipe it down. I've done that with bikes in the house. I wouldn't use anything I didn't want to smell all winter, I hate the smell of Simple Green.

Find a way to slip a kiddie pool under it and give it a wash

Tarp, kiddie pool, warm water & car soap, old toothbrush & sponge, spray bottle of warm clean water to rinse. Bit of a project but should be gentle and effective. Not sure about WD40 or Honda clean personally, but I imagine you'd have film leftover if you didn't rinse/wash fully after?

    Re: Bath in a Bottle?

I bought some waterless car wash years ago and it isn't so bad, certainly doesn't smell funky or anything like that. Honda polish/cleaner is some awesome stuff though. I did both before when it was in a storage unit.. looked pretty spanking clean, but I didn't have much crud to wash/wipe off. Not sure how much salt you got on... I'd be worried about it making micro scratches.

Thanks all, all good though not sure I want to use WD40 on painted surfaces.. i remember in the 80s using it to make my gpz engine case shiny. Likely spray soak simple green and use spray bottle of car soap and water to rinse off. Quick Wizards Polish and done. (There is little salt residue at all, just being careful)

Just pee on it a little, it'll be fine.
