the Junior model would be fine for you. i didnt want that one, and ended up with the Plus model. i got mine last year for like $30. the hookup to the battery for quick charger and disconnect is nice.

they sell them everywhere. even amazon has them for good prices. if you wait another month or two, someone will put up a link to someone selling them cheap

    +1
PLUS on fuel injected bikes a low battery will cause it to run like shit at first.(or so I was told) Keep the battery topped off.

When it's cold out. I don't think it's excessive. The JR makes sure it's topped off and then cycles on and off if it needs a charge. I don't have to worry about a dead or low battery in the morning. I only started using it again last week when it got cold. During the summer I didn't use it. My garage is unheated.

They don't, but why take a chance it doesn't hurt. This way if my bike sits a day or 5 weeks like DBConz it's ready. I don't take it out and store it in a warm place in the winter either.

Well my bike is an 02 and i dont know if my battery has ever been replaced. Plus my gear indictator still drains the battery even when it's turned off.
