Just got an email from Joe Proia, owner of Ironstone Ventures.
This is my third season coaching for him. It's a lotta fun and a few extra bucks in my pocket doesn't hurt, either
Let me know if you'd like the form or have any q's.
I'm under the assumption that this is for employment specifically with Ironstone Ventures but talk to Joe if you're interested in employment elsewhere. Just let me know if you want his email address.
Thanks for your interest in becoming a RiderCoach
Below is an application that I would ask you to fill out as best you can.
I have delayed in responding due to many RMV planning delays; however, I am moving forward towards a training class/workshop in late Feb/March 2012.
We ask that you complete/retake the basic rider course before 2011 season's end (at no cost to you).
Then I ask that you "shadow" an instructor/coach for one weekend/complete course. Finally, I would ask you to spend a weekend helping setup exercises with a coach during a basic course. All of these experiences will help you determine "if this for you" as well as help you prepare for the workshop.
The workshop will require some initial weekend meetings (TBA), probably late Nov for course info, then mid-Jan to hand out materials. Official workshop will be held on weekends, with the exception being a required Friday on the last weekend, which will be student teaching.
At the moment I am suggesting the following dates:
Sun 13 Nov 12p - orientation
Sun 8 Jan 12p - material and homestudy handout Sat/Sun 25,26 Feb 8a-5p - workshop Sat/Sun 3,4 March 8a-5p - workshop Sat/Sun 10,11 March 8a-5p - workshop Fr/Sa/Su 16,17,18 March 8a-5pm workshop/student teaching/beginning of training season.
The cost/commitment is $500, non-refundable (due by 1 Jan 2012)
I'm sure you have many questions, please feel free to contact me as they arise.
Thanks
Joe
