Is it rated to be quiet enough that it won't elicit death threats from pit neighbors?

If it was obnoxious I wouldn't have posted it. I don't have firsthand experience with it, but my chinese 2500w worked quite well at Canaan Saturday and was quieter than the popular Champion 2000w next to me. Only fault I have with mine so far is the float for the gas gauge is not 'floaty' enough to self reset when I fill the tank.

This is apparently not a thing at Boxshop.
My uncle has a 15k diesel towable I was considering bringing up for one weekend just to show everyone who's boss.

You bring that, you'd better bring cords for everyone, and an ice chest with frozen deserts for the kids and hard beverages for the adults.

lol.... I am not a generator snob and try not to make a fuss about pit noise. It's a race track after all.

But I seem to be a magnet for obnoxious home made generators. Invariably, the person who parks right next to me will immediately pull out a big no-name generator that looks like it can power the whole county, park it right next to their trailer and proceed to run it ALL night and ALL day. At Canaan, I resorted to wearing ear plugs in the pit area just to keep my headache under control.

I wonder if you could just strap a 3500w inverter based generator on the tail of the bike and let the thing rip while you ride, extending the range. Won't be able to keep up with usage, but it'll be something.

Even better, just attach a tow hitch to the back of the bike and tow Bub's uncle's 15 kW diesel around with you. I suspect that setup in supersport trip would lead to approximately a 4:00.00 expert bump time at NHMS. Bonus points if you can get it airborne on the sumo track.

You could just put a strong magnet on a stick in front of the bike and that'll drag it around all day, silently. Would be awesome.

I am sure it won't have the "HIT" of big displacement so LESS fun

Would have to be WELL controlled to avoid variable power of the turbo (read less)

In 3 years Busas would be a memory

There was a GSX-R 600 for sale on Facebook the other day. It had an extended swingarm.

    People are fucking idiots.

I somehow managed to get into a buy/sell bike group on facebook but it is almost exclusively shit from the south. So. It's all 600s with extended swingarms. It is hilarious.

Used to hang around HDforum when we had the Roadster. The Hayabusa was the off-the-scale popular choice as the 2nd bike.

Briggs & Stratton now also makes a 3000w Inverter model.

We just ordered a B&S Q6500 Inverter (new earlier in the year) for home emergency backup because it has a 240v outlet. They are $1500 compared to $3300 for a Yamaha EF6300 or $4,500 for the fuel injected Honda EU7000iS.

Pull start only. Going to run [part of] the house with it for a bit and make sure my wife and kids can start it. If not we’ll replace it and sell it after the first big storm wipes out local inventory.
