The following is an email that Josh & I received last night. With all the shit that's been going on here lately, it's great to have this kinda thing sent to us. And Degsy? What can I say? You are truely 'The Man'...
(Josh has already posted this in another area, but I wanted to put it here too)
Email from Bob:
"I would like to tell you all what a great member you have. I believe he goes by the name of Degsy. While recently stranded on my BMW R1100r (yes even BMW's break down, though rarely), your guy Degsy comes along and stops to help me out. My bike is still smoking from the electrical fire and he's already under there with his flashlight and pretty much has it all figured out what happened. It was the rectifier, regulator. He calls his buddy up,(Jeffrey I think. Sorry if I got the name wrong, brain kind of mushy) and he comes over with his pickup truck, ramp and tie downs and we load the bike on his truck. My dealer is closed for the day so they take the bike back to a storage area they have and the next day they drop my bike at the dealers and I meet them there and its a done deal. I thank them and we go are separate ways. I had never met these guys before in my life and I just have to say what a credit they are to all bikees. Degsy lives by the code that you never go by a broken down bike on the side of the road. And believe me to quote Degsy himself "what goes around comes around". This is true because what makes this story even stranger is that a week earlier I had stopped in exactly the same spot to help a fellow bikey who had run out of gas. Thanks a whole lot Degsy and Jeffrey(I think). You guys are number 1 in my book. If there's ever anything I can do give me a holler. Meanwhile I too continue to live by the code that you never leave a fellow bikey on the side of the road."
