This is my 4th VFR (2 5gen, 2 6gen) I've been through sargent, corbin, gen mar, helibar. and ended up perfrectly happy with stock on my '06 pearl black.
What I found is that if I'm in reasonable condition, especially core fitness, the bike is very comfortable as is.
Now, at 51, the real problem is staying in riding shape.
The only shape my Rocket Touring demanded was the shape that stopping for donuts creates.

i miss my 04 flat black vfr so much. that bike did everything good.
shame gen 7 vfr's are all high tech with all the gizmo's. used to be honda's race bike.
if I was buying a new bike right now, it would be a super tenere

Bags on = touring mode
bags off = sportbike mode.
