If you like the daytona 675 then I would just suggest trying your best to ride one first or at least sit on them for a bit. They are a great bike but the seat is definitely not comfy.
Good luck searching, I think you would have fun on a broad range of bikes since you don't want to do 1 thing really (ie wheelie, drag knee in corners, etc).

Looking at what you already got I would add a dirtbike to the mix.

I put my .02 in the mix and say FZ1/6. I had the 6 for commuting and it was great. The full fairing 1 looks great and it does not have the banana seat. Looks sporty and has power. FZ1 is my next bike.

    I had a 97 CBR1100xx (Blackbird)

I bet you could find one with low mileage and it will put a big SEG on your face...

I have an FZ6 and while I think it is a terrific commuter (I use it around Boston) I think a bike with a full fairing would be better for the highway. It doesn't help I have a huge trunk. 8-)

Someone mentioned an Aprilla RSVR1000 which I actually expected from Pete not this other person but that might be an option. as well if I lean towards the larger CC
The rsv probably isn't as comfortable as you're lookin for & the second gen Tuono doesn't have the wind protection you're lookin for... So that leaves the first gen Tuono which you aren't allowed to have

Busa or cbr1100xx check the auctions for nice repos. Southern auto auction now has a powersports division in S. Windsor. Find someone with a dealer lic. A friend of mine has one, might be able to help.

If you like the Daytona, the Sprint ST is just a bigger, more comfortable version of it! Plus, there's plenty of Triumph dealers around, so you don't need to worry about service like with some of the smaller brands suggested.

Another vote for the Sprint ST. Pretty tossable, very fast on the open road, easy to ride around town. I can ride mine all day and not get tired. Looks good coming and going.

I've seen quite a few deals on low mileage, late models on eBay.. if you are inclined to buy used.

If not that, my vote goes to the FZ1 or VFR.

Girls love riding on the ZRX. And the best thing imo is that the engine will pull in 5th from 1.5k.

you might be able to pick up a used 06-07 bmw k12s for around 8k. they're smooth with tons of low end torque - you can leave it in 6th the whole time you're on the highway, there's really no need to shift at all. very comfortable for both you and your passenger, and you'd have no problem being on it tank to tank (around 200mi). it's really a great all around bike for both commuting and having fun on the back roads.

Although these things show a bit of their pork in turns don't they? although it would definitely kick ass for the slab portion of the journey.

I was going to recommend an 06+ R1200GS (not adventure), if you can get past the fact it will turn heads because it looks like a giant dirtbike. It's more than fun at non-license loss speeds but will still get you well into that realm if you want it. All the while you can do this 2 up or solo, and it's a blast.

Had mine since 2007, so far it's the only bike I've owned this long. Taken all dirt trails from Greenfield MA to the Canada border a couple years ago, and rode to Michigan last summer as well. It did all of this 2-up without any complaint.

Re: What should my next bike be? Help spend my money :)

Sorry, I was MIA for most of yesterday.

Tons of great options and bikes I wouldnt have otherwise considered. Im going to take a test ride on a 675 next week to see just how uncomfortable it is. I didnt realize the FZ1 looked that good with a full fairing kit so that is on my list of bikes to check out, that Blue Sprint TT actually looks good as well, just need to see the physical size of it.

I had that BMW I believe as a loaner lol while my Triumph was in the shop, definitely a fun bike to ride but im not sure I want to join that "club". Its a possibility though if I found one for a reasonable price.

That Duc is out of my price range, im not a fan of how the FZ6R looks, z1000 is an incredible bike but not something id want to ride for 3 hour on the highway in the wind. The cbr1100x might be an option depending on what I can find. I saw a R1 Raven that looked great and im sure is more than enough power as well.

I know im a pain in the ass, but now im trying to decide if it just makes more sense to focus on just getting the bike I want and a small trailer to solve almost all of my other problems.

Thank you for the suggestions, im hoping to get out and either sit on or drive as many of these as I can in the next 2 weeks.

Re: What should my next bike be? Help spend my money :)

I'm almost surprised I haven't seen it suggested here yet, but what about a Bandit 1250S? Strong motor, great chassis, comfortable ride, great for long distances. I know there were a lot of leftovers from the previous couple of years, and I think you can still get a new one extremely cheap.

Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the Triumph Sprint ST or the Ducati ST3.

Meh. Wind protection is a state of mind... Once you get into a zone you don't even notice it. 2 summers ago I took my Speed Triple on this trip:

On the last day of that trip I put 556 miles on my Speed Triple in 11.5 hours of riding.

You guys complaining about 2-3 hours crack me up.

Wat? I'm guessing that you've never punched the throttle with a 955 triple between the knees.

Here is another vote for the Speed Triple or Sprint if you need a fairing.
