First bike, redoing completely. Should I plasti dip?

So I just picked up my first bike, it's a 2001 yellow Suzuki GSX600F Katana. I'm not a huge fan of the bike but I got it from a friend to help him out and it was sitting for a couple years. I'm in the process of bringing it back to life; waiting on a gas tank, doing the breaks, chain, some rewiring, and then putting it allll back together. I'm not a fan of the color or fairings but I wanted to try and make it look a little more appealing. The bike only has 6000 miles on it. I'm thinking of plasti dipping parts of the bike or maybe the whole thing. I haven't seen any Katana's plasti dipped and I wanted some opinions on what other people think.

Just get some black electrical tape and call 976-savas. He'll fix you right up. (Just so we're clear, don't do that).

    Why you no like paint?

I mean the fairings are in good condition but I don't like the style at all. Yellows not my color either, I've seen a few plasti dipped bikes and it makes them stick out and to me I think would look better than the yellow fairings. But opinions and other options are welcome, first bike so I rather ask around on ideas before I make any final decisions

Some of my buddies are plastidip crazy. There is no good reason you shouldn't do it. But, keep in mind some areas may get hot near the exhaust. Also the Dip adds a little bit of thickness, so some of the mounting may be affected. If it were me I would get weird with the colors.

Weld's (J's) bike is the only one I've seen that doesn't look like complete shit. Plastidip looks cheap and temporary.

I know guys that have dipped their exhaust tips on their cars without any issues... having said that, the tips on a car will run significantly cooler than the headers off a motorcycle exhaust

I'm sure they will answer any dipping questions you have
