Probably legit actually. I think the stuff you see is the usual goop that new bikes are covered with when they are shipped.

I used to live very close to Sherman Oaks and you see celebrities every day. I saw Pam Anderson and whatsisname her ex husband a few times times around there. I saw Heather Locklear twice in the Sherman Oaks Mall, just doing her grocery shopping. I used to organise the sportsbike ride-outs from the HRC dealer in Thousand Oaks (just up the 101 from Sherman Oaks) and there were always celebs on those rides (Arnie, Sly Stallone, Jay Leno, Nic Cage I can remember). Celebrities are always signing bikes around that area. We were on a ride to Santa Barbara one night via Ventura Highway and I was listening to Ventura Highway on my cd walkman (just because I thought it would be cool to listen to it while on the same road). We stopped at a rest stop and I started chatting with one dude who was on a Honda Shadow Ace. He turned out to be the drummer from "America". Strange coincidence. Forgot his name though.

All you have to do to find celebrities on bikes is ride to the Rockstore off Mullholland Drive on any weekend morning and then ride over to Malibu through the canyons and you'll see them everywhere. They are always on a new bike all the time too, rich bastards. You always see the new, unannounced bikes around this time of year also as the journalists are out testing them and they always bring them to the Rock Store to show them off. I saw an RC51 in October 1999, 7 months before they were available to the public.

I can see getting a bit excited about a bike signed by Hayden, Xaus, Rentzell, Yates, etc.....

But Britney Spears? For Christ's sake, I wouldn't admit to riding a bike signed by Britney. If you GAVE me that bike, the first thing I would do is get out some Windex and remove that goofy whore's signature.
