Ducati 1999 750 SS....Will it fit kiddycorner in a 5 x 5 rental storage unit? I just looked up the bike specs. Says 79 1/2" Length Overall

    Re: Bike storage question.

Math says yes, assuming you can get it through the door at the right angle.

Do a wheelie in though the door.

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.

    Re: Bike storage question.

Not sure how storage units get their dimensions, but most things are measured in outside dimensions, so your 5x5 storage box may not be 5x5 inside. Just saying, if the numbers are close, it makes a difference

    Re: Bike storage question.

My quick answer is no.. I had to upgrade to a 5X8 or 5X10 when I tried to do it years ago with a 2005 R6. Door is a little smaller, you have to try to get it in at an angle.. it rubbed etc.. just wasn't going to work.

    Re: Bike storage question.

Can you push the front wheel into one of the back corners of the unit and then lift/slide the rear wheel in?

    Re: Bike storage question.

A 5x5 if measured inside would be a hair under 85" corner to corner. A bike like that has significant width right up near the front wheel (fairing, handlebars) and is VERY doubtful to fit in that "theoretical" space.

If it was just a broomstick is would fit fine.
