New Bike Suggestions!!!

Hey guys,
I'm currently bored to tears at work and am about 90% sure that I will be selling my GSXR in a couple weeks. I want to wait until June 1st when I get my next pay check, but after that, all bets are off. I want to sell mine for 5 grand, then will have another 3 or so to play around with after I get paid.

I WOULD LIKE TO SPEND NO MORE THAN 7 GRAND.
(7500 if its worth it)

I've been a GSXR guy my entire riding career (all of 10 minutes), but I may be looking to broaden my horizens in the near future.

So far my choices are as follows:

05-06 GSXR 1000
Newer ZX-10
04+ R1
Probably Not a CBR, but wouldn't we all ride the Repsol?

If anyone has some suggestions, or a line on an available bike, please leave your input. I'm always open to trying new bikes.

I'm a Kawi guy myself...but I would say go with what you know.
05 ZX-10R if you want a monster 1000 that handles very well and has more power than you will ever need.
06/07 ZX-10R if you want a less crazy machine, suspension is a bit soft, still very nice.
Any GSXR 1000 is gonna be awesome...talk to GixxerJockey, he's a Suzuki whore!

I'm going to veto the 848 only for the fact that some punk from my old highschool just got one as a graduation present.

I was looking into the 750's, but I think for now I'm going to stick it out with the 1k's.

05 ZX10 huh? I rode an 04 a couple weeks ago, it felt a lot bigger than my bike frame-wise. I'd be down for that. Know anyone selling one?

I would too. I bought it from a guy who said he dyno'd it. I never actually did it myself, his numbers.

Either way, the bike is a monster and I don't want to be taking any power cuts from a new bike. Thats why I would like to stick with a 1k. Tricky Mike's bike is real real nice...

I think 5 grand is a pretty fair price for it, it will be for sale in Western MD, but I need an excuse to ride home one day...

Yea, prob is really in the 150-160 RWHP range......and Mikes bike is a good deal and is clean for sure...and you will still have the same power delivery.....

GSXR1K, Going to be hard to find a better bike/deal than it. I refuse to get a 1k because of my complete and total lack of a deathwish but I was very tempted by it....

PM sent. I'm a huge fan of mike's gsxr, but i honestly dont think it is going to last until i have my stuff all settled up and am ready to buy something. Last time I sold a bike, I bought this one before the deposit cleared in my checking account. It took me under 2 days to find one I liked. I'll throw it up on craigslist pretty soon, I just dont want to go bikeless for a month or so while I'm waiting to get paid.

Motofreak: do you have any quick tips on what to look for when buying a zx10?

Under normal circumstances I'd be down, but since I currently have a similar deal with the seller of a bike I'm buying I can't make him wait... If we're talking a $4K deposit then we'd have a deal as I could then get him the cash that's coming to him.
Chuck is right, though... I believe I'll have it sold soon. It definitely seems to be a buyer's market at the moment, though.
