    Q&A with a Bike Thief

I thought this had been posted in the past, however I can't seem to find it here and with the bike thefts(in my area anyway) increasing at a staggering rate I figured giving this a once-over again couldn't hurt.

Former bike thief/chop shop guy did a Reddit AMA(ask me anything) a couple years ago. Worth the read.

    I remember reading that thread.

I remember it being pretty interesting to start with.

Then I remember it devolving into something like this:

"I like in rural West Virginia at approx. 11,609ft elevation. I have a 1982 GSX-F 500 with a miss on the #3 cylinder. The bike is yellow and green (a blue green, but not too blue) and has OEM Yoshimura zip ties holding the airbox together. I had it dyno'ed and it produced 31.415926hp. How likely is this to get stolen? The zip ties were a 1-year option so it's a pretty rare bike".

Yea, it definitely got watered down with the typical fuckery, however the key parts are at the top of the thread and you can just decide when you've had enough bullshit as you read further down.

That's a great summary of reddit in general.
