Used bike title Q

So I have a pretty strong bite on my 1098s from a guy in Indiana.

He asked me to fax a copy of the title for his loan officer.

Is this a legit request?

IMO, cover your ass and talk directly with the loan officer.

He should only need the VIN. I would only send it directly to the loan officer, and only if he gave me a very good reason to do so.

If you have an MA title then when you fax a copy, it has this cool VOID VOID VOID stamped all over it. Just an FYI I found out when buying an MA titled bike. It would be pretty imposible to do anything with it like that.

When I have sold some of my cars, the loan company did indeed need to see a clear title before they issued the guy his loan.

manny, i had to provide a copy of the title to my bank when buying a car out of state.

I would just fax it directly if you have some concerns. That way you know it's going to a legit place.
