    bike wont turn over

    A friend of mines has a Gsxr 600 2007

The bike tipped over on him on the other day and cracked the generator cover slightly on the bottom of it and started leaking oil

The bike turned on normally even before we changed the cover

We replaced it with a new one and, and then added oil since everything dripped out

When he puts the switch key on the on mode all the lights turn then when he goes to start it the engine doesn't turn over as if the whole system shuts down when he tries to start it

Is there any wires connected to the generator cover that we should be concerned about?

We made sure the kill switch wasn't on and it still won't turn over and the battery snt the problem because we tried another one

    Any suggestions?

Stator wires come from there. If they are unplugged you will get no turning over.

    Re: bike wont turn over

Below the seat, directly behind the gas tank. I has two wires leading out of it, should read between 0.7 to 7 ohms, definetely not closed. It's just a small box, inside is a metal semi- bent horizontal rod with a washer riding it. If the washer makes it to either side of the box it grounds out, it's a interlock to protect the bike & rider incase of a tip-over.

Bike have a few interlocks, some more than others ie: kick-stand, neutral safety, clutch lever, tip-over etc.

Are they plugged into something under the generator cover or is it under the plastics?

I believe the tip-over sensor is at the very end of the sub-frame on the '07s. Here's 2 pics out of the manual.

turn the key from off to on 3-4 times. It resets the tip sensor.
