How much those bike worth?

I'm looking for new bike and the was a guy want to sell me his bike, it is
2006 ninja zx6r 636
Color: green and all stock no mods
Miles: 7000
Price : $4000
Bike is in great shape.

Another one is 2008 ninja zx6r,green in color. Bike is all stock and only have 2000 miles on it. He want $5300. Bike look like brand new.

It's so hard for me to choose wich one should I go with. And is there any issues with those 2 bike. I've never own the Kawasaki before. Need your advise. Thanks

I'd go for the 06 636. The difference in mileage is negligible . For $1300 less you get more power, more torque and subjectly a better looking bike.

The 636 will be much more street able. The 07 08 are kind of enemic down low, as well as heavier. Although ishould admit ive never ridden an 06. I would iether go with the 06 or hold out for a deal on an 09. Both of those prices are pretty decent for this time of year. However i should add that i pucked up my 09 last season with 740 mi for 5500. So if your looking to spend in the 5s just hold out for an 09. And yeah the difference in miles is like one season of good riding, so neither really has that much of a differenc over the other, as long as they were bothe cared for.
As for common problems, some of the 07 08s have bad valve cover gaskets that leak but there is a tsb for it and most dealers will fix them for free. Other than that they are pretty rock solid from what I've seen and heard. The 06s like to fry voltage regulators from not enough heat shielding from the undertail, but that's also an easy fix. Other than those things check for any of the common things you'd check on a used bike.

I love my 07 zx6r... swapped out the air filter for a K&N race spec filter and the bottom end came right to life and with the jumper mod there is better power above 10k rpm and there isnt a huge weight difference between the 07 and the 06

I only have around 5k to spend. I also love the newer r6 but as a short rider (5'7") that is out of comfort zone . I guess I'll wait

Yup thatsxwhat I went thru shopping. Kawi is the red headed step child of the big 4 which I don't get, they make great bikes. And the name recognition pumps up pricing on the other models more than anything. You can buy a comparable kawi for usually a k less than a gsxr or s honda. People act like those things are made of frickin gold.
