Re: The Best bikes on Craigslist
No. The ironheads have really tight clearances out back. So tight that every time I change my tire I almost always have to adjust my spokes so I can kick the hoop over this way or that a 1\4in. New rims are just too wide. Plus anything before 78 I think is still drum.

If Ducati guys are passing on it and it's so cheap you know it's destined for the dump.
Re: The Best bikes on Craigslist
Didn't know where else to put this:
Talked to an old acquaintance yesterday who had a TL1000R back when I had mine. Hadn't ridden it in years, ended up outside for a few years on top of that. Gas tank developed a leak & some perforation along one of the seams, lines & tires had rotted, etc. Sold it for......
$150.00
I believe it was a 2000 (yellow) with +/- 7000 miles.

I was kinda pissed at him. I told him I would have cleaned it up & put it on pit stands in the house for a display. Pisser thing is he said he thought about contacting me when he got rid of it. Can you believe that shit???
