The Best bikes on Craigslist

When I started my search for a cruiser a few years ago, I was told by many to stay away from those older Victories. I don't remember exactly why, but there was a number of reasons.

I was looking at buying one new in the in the early 2000s. I went to a demo day were you could try all the models. I took out 3 different ones and all of them died on the demo ride. And I wasn't the only one left on the side of the road out of the group either. Too much Polaris in them at the time I felt. I remember the engine cases had gobs of rtv spilling out of them on brand new machines. I didn't even look at another cruiser again until my wife showed up with a Sportster as my anniversary gift about 10 years later.

As I tried to avoid the Harley brand when I was looking at getting back on a motorcycle, I kicked tires on a few Victories. I loved the look of some of them, but the quality just seemed so...meh. Some of them looked so badass from a distance, but once up close and going over them, they just looked cheap and hastily slapped together.

Kinda *rare* Ducati, the color anyway -- seems like a good project, he keeps dropping the price, now at $2800. (In Glens Falls NY, too far for me.) I've owned two of these, a great ride, the look, the sound, the whole Ducati experience. You need patience working around the body work. 1st gen gsxrs were and are the best looking sport bikes. and are a caffeinated beast with an anger problem when ridden above 30mph

It's not really low for a big honkin' Vtwin. I think my Street Glide is like, 5500 or 6000.
