I have its (knock off) twin brother in my garage right now. Sadly in a lot worse shape... Haven't ridden it in about 8 years. Really hoping that'll change in the next year or so.

Honestly, if that thing doesn't end up going for way more than what I can afford, I could be tempted to snag it up.

Really? I don't, but when I was 18 I convinced myself I did when I couldn't afford anything better. Same with a 929 and F4i.
I never got one and ended up on an F1 Hurricane for my first bike.

Super underrated bike, albeit a bit hefty. A friend bought his about the same time I bought my RF900R. We all called it "The Fat Lady". We put a ton of miles on those two bikes together. He traded it a few years later for a 900RR and immediately hated his decision.
