The bike is stable at 70-80 MPH and gets there quick, very quick, scary quick. Range, that question always comes up, in pedal assist you could go 25 miles (I think, not sure) but I drive it hard and fast so maybe 10 miles at 70 MPH, I dont know I live on a small island that has lots of hills

Of the original Hans Muth Katana design, in the U.S., Suzuki only marketed the 1000 and the 1100, and in 1982 and 1983, respectively. In '82 the 1000 was only sold in the U.S. (it was sold as an 1100 in every other market), and it was in that displacement to qualify for Superbike racing.
They did produce the Muth design in the 750 displacement you see here. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0289516442810/. With the blacked-out engine and the six-spoke wheels, that's an '83 or '84. Edit: I've seen some of these 750s with Canadian license plates, so I'm guessing the one on FB is a grey-market import.
They then used the Katana name on some less-radically styled versions (again, not marketed in the U.S. - pretty sure) in 550 and 650 ccs, probably from '84 through '87, and then resurrected the name for the bloated 1100 in '88 and the 600s and 750s that came after.
I owned an original 1000, and put 23,000 back-breaking, tendon-stretching, neck-twisting miles on it in three years. It was a true mindbender of a bike.
