I'd really like to pay less than $2k for my first bike but I also want something with fuel injection and not too fiddly.

If he has a title I'd say it's worth a gamble on price. A shop would probably charge $200 to rebuild the carbs if you brought them in off the bike
Ignition probably isn't too hard to pull. I've had to remove it from my 98 GSXR and have a key made. Cost $50.

I sent him an email, I think I'll be taking that gamble! Thanks for the info on getting the key cut, my reading online lead me to believe it should be in the $50 - $100 range - or replacing everything not too much more. Wish me luck.

On Tuesdays in a month with an R in the name, you may post, but in Haiku only. Non-Haiku posts must contain a reference to either a turbo 'Busa or Rotella; bonus points if you can work in a reference to Pete's goatee or turn 3.

...though it is true that the thread started highlighting the more egregious CraigsList scams and evolved into a sort of Deals and Steals thing.

I’m not clear on what it takes to be a Hipster. What is the minimum to included in that group? And what’s with dreaming of things going unknown places while holding onto your butt?

Cuffed skinny jeans with plenty of clearance of your doc martins, slim fit flannel shirts, a mustache with the ends twisted up and a Triumph Scrambler.

Anyone interested in a Honda Furry? It's much less furious than that other kind of Honda.
