Naults windham tried to charge me $100 to check my credit. I bought from Derry Cycle instead.

This one seems fun for a backroad hooligan machine and is cheap and local to you

Interesting find, mods are partially counter to my goals, haven't seen someone trying to tone down a Buell before. For the record, I'm noodling this as a race bike, I wanna try and make a Super Hooligans event or two. Per the rules it's gotta be a 750cc or larger twin, had to ship with traditional handlebars, and if it's an American air cooled bike you don't have to pay attention to min weights or worry about what you do to it tech wise. An older Buell seems to make sense to me on that front as easy to get to pass tech and already a 'sporty' setup that will take less massaging to make go around a track than other options without breaking the bank. XBs seem to be more 'reliable' than the earlier tube framers? That's the extent of the research I've done so far on the bike side.![]()
Suggest joining the forum here for all things Buell:

Also, L.T. Snyder does Buell as well as Ducati:

Usually good info from both these sites.

I feel that's a bit on the steep side. Am I wrong?
It’s reasonable. When moms tyngsboro had the leftover 2022 KTM 390 adv for $4999 the fees were similar. When I purchased the Aprilia Tuareg from Seacoast they only charged me what Aprilia charges them for freight $800. No setup or doc fees

When I bought my '23 Guzzi in March from A-J Cycle, I paid MSRP + $800 freight (what Guzzi charges them), no setup or doc fees. As I see it, to stay in business first, and make money, too, dealers now charge these fees (and try to sell you extended warranties, just like the car dealers). Back in the olden days when I was in business, we didn't add any fees, and often discounted the price to get the bike off floor plan interest. We did rely on a lot of income from parts and service, engine rebuilding brought in a steady income stream. On Saturdays, customers would be four-deep at the parts counter. Now owners have many more sources for parts, and bikes are much more reliable. Cripes, back in the '70s, if we saw a bike with 10K miles, that was rare, and most likely worn out.

True true. Same with car companies - make money on service mostly. Everyone has to survive. We re better off paying a few extra $$$ than not having a dealer exist. When I was buying a bike 15 years ago I cared a lot more about the bottom line price. Now, I'd rather pay a few hundred more to have good service and a good experience especially since bikes are so much more expensive. I remember buying a new 2008 FZ6 for $6700!

I’ve only bought one bike at a dealer where I paid fees and that was my Husky at Motorsports International. $685 for freight, no other fees.

Moms used to be awesome around 2000, sick used selection. Then when I was buying my first bike they were really pushy trying to get me to buy some ratted out zx6e with a saggy tank bra.
Now they usually don’t post prices and when you inquire they just email, text and leave voice mails “we got your inquiry, call us back for the price!”. Like, how bout you fucking just tell me the price! Why create the extra step!
2k in fees to boot?
Very frustrating time, I want to buy a bagger but high octane harley and Manchester harley BLOW, Seacoast isn’t much better. I like the Indian Chieftain but won’t even bother trying Moms.

Let's not forget the almost complete lack of suspension travel on it as well. I don't think the front even has springs.
