Re: Now many bikes have you owned?
First bike crashed:
Dirt, tm125, first day I owned it
Track, sv650, in the rain on about my 15th track day, low side turn two, rode it back to pits. Rada saw it, I almost saved it!
Street, sv650, in 30th year of riding street and 200 yards from my driveway wtf, would be dead if I hadn’t geared up for the two minute “test ride”

No that's right. I had a street RSVR and a race one. Smutty has the race one now, platypus bought the street one.
I have two RC8rs right now. Initially I had one RC8 for the street and one RC8rs for the track. I wasn't riding the street bike much, so a few years ago I traded it for another RC8rs. I've never ridden that bike, and should probably trade it for something else. Or ride it.
I owned the '01 GSXR 1000 twice too. I traded it in on the RC51, and then bought it back three months later.

11 bikes total, with a roughly ten year period where I was bike-less.

Just once, can you answer with "I'm Not Sure"?
I feel like this joke has been low hanging fruit for way too long.

Accounting only for purchase and sale prices, I estimate approximate opportunity costs of $28,718. That does not account for maintenance, upkeep or 'upgrades'.
I'm currently $19,501 in the hole. Again, just for the purchase/sales of the machines themselves.
That was a fun exercise!

PitsterPro Motard. Think a taller Grom a decade before Honda would come out with one.
The Pro Mini was the larger of the two initial pitbikes SDG launched, and for awhile was easily the best out of the crate pitbike one could source, carried by Tucker Rocky with a real dealer network. Then the cheap Chinese scene went nuts and people stopped wanting to pay $2500 to $3000 for a pitbike so I scored one cheap as overstock.
Not many real frankenbikes in the mix. The CT90 was a revival project my grandfather found me when I was a kid. It was the first motor I ever put together. CM200T was a learner bike that was bounced around LOTS of HOG chapter wives before it reached my Mom who got her license on it and then gave it to me as my first street bike so I could ride with the family. Only thing I did to it was clean the carb and put LOTS of miles on it. Sabre was stock save for repainting it. ST3 was stock, pitbikes are destined to be frankensteined no matter what. GS500 got cleaned up by me, frankensteined by it's followup owners. KTM was a solid motard that just was run too long without appropriate updates, CB650 was a bone stock project gift I didn't bother much with, motard is a frankenstein, CBR was bone stock, FZR was a pile of parts gifted to me to start my return to racing, part of which was used in the current FZR. 300 is bone stock, TTR was a light mod done to look and function as if the factory shipped it that way, and the R6 is ugly but damn near bone stock.

Re: How many bikes have you owned?
I need a pen and paper to count, including dirtbikes, it’s in the 30-35 bikes range
