It's getting about that time to put away the bike and strip it down for body work.
Anyone know/recommend a good place that wont give me a hack job or screw me over with prices? Keep in mind I'm South of Boston, so I'd prefer not to travel 4 hours away. There's a place around the corner from me that I brought my bike to today, and they gave me a quick estimate.

    Here's what I need done:
    • 2" crack on nose, and rash on both sides
    • rash on left side of tail
    • scratches on undertail from broken chain whip
    • scratches on right fairing
    • chrome dip the swingarm

    Thanks guys.

and I've already been recommended a place North of Boston for the swingarm, but would prefer to get it all done at one place

EmpireGP in NY did my nose for my RC and repainted it and it came out great. With shipping it was less than 200 bucks. Im sure they could do your sides fairings too. You could ship them all in.

Not to hijack a thread but are there any good motorcycle bodywork repair shops near the track?

    Hey man,
Do the main repair work yourself...
Bondo and fibreglass mending patches applied with adhesive
    does the trick.

Then just seek out an auto body paint shop near you.
Most know how to match color and apply clear coat
and buff it up nice and shiny.
    its rocket science.
You can save some $$ that way.

One thing I would do immediately:
Lose the pig spotter mirrors !

It was 165 plus shipping for my nose. It had a small crack in it. They plastic welded it, not Bondo.

Rob Nigl of Peachpit Ltd. Not the cheapest, but the best. Usually at the track too, so you can just hand it to him...

    Re: Body Shops

I have no idea if these guys do motorcycle work (I'd assume they might), but they did some fantastic work for my family in the past:

    TODAY'S COLLISION REPAIR CENTER

Very nice guy owns it, and the facility in Malden is really nice. Maybe give them a buzz and ask.

Granite City Auto and Cycle Works on Water St in Quincy. Literally, around the corner from SS Motorsports. He quoted me $100 (or less) for the plastic welding and paint for the nose. Told him I dont need the fairing perfect, just want the guard rail mark fixed. Not sure what that will cost me. Said to check back in with him in 2-3 weeks

I brought the parts to Granite City Auto and Cycle Works on Water St in Quincy. Literally around the corner from SS Motorsports. Quoted me $100 or less for the nose to plastic weld and paint.
