    Boring & Honing

I picked up a 92 ZX7R with a bad top end. I'd like to bore it either 1mm or 1.5 and throw a Wiseco piston kit in it.
Where would I send the jug? Anyone local?

    Thanks!

Only issue I've heard of with Wiseco pistons are people forgetting that they're dropping forgings in place of cast units so they either get the clearances wrong, or don't let the engine warm up before railing on them. I'm not aware of any actual design or mfg issues with them?

I used Wisecos in an RD400 a few years back with no problems...

but the bike was a '77.

Did the top end have to last 50,000 miles?

2 strokes, yeah. Use wiseco no problem. They are coming out relatively soon anyway.
