Bosch ABS MTC - I want it.

Just saw this. Pretty amazing if you asked me. I want it but I'd want to be able to turn it off on the the track. What really sold me is that it looks like you can apply full brakes while leaned over and the bike keeps on the same trajectory.

Why would you want to shut it off on the track? Seems like they went to a lot of trouble to make it work well on a track.

The comparison looks compelling, at first. Why didn't they use a wet track? Or have a patch of dirt to really test it?

This demonstrates the systems capabilities just as well as any other situation.

Wish I could see a demo on questionable surfaces. But even in the dry it's pretty impressive and useful. A lot of people don't even ride in the rain and still wreck so this system could still be useful.

Search for videos testing it off road on the 1190 KTM. They are out there.

Perhaps a dumb question, but why does the "standard ABS" not work very well in a corner? Seems exactly opposite of ABS on cars... I have never ridden a bike with ABS, so I'm ignorant of the quirks of it.

I think it likely has to do with trying to calculate speeds and such on the side of the tire vs. straight up and down?
