How generous of them...As many as a dozen metered parking spaces across the Back Bay will be partitioned into motorcycle and scooter parking slots this summer....

But then again paying for tickets is worse.
I imagine they'll want more than 50 spaces though, I'm pretty sure there are more than 50 bikers in Boston on this board alone....

Scooters shouldnt be allowed in theese spaces, they just park on the fking sidewalk anyway. Motorcycles cant do that. JP licks needs 25 pose only spaces in front of it.
The article didn't give specifics about when and exactly where the spots would be available. Has anyone heard anything more about this since the original article?

That would be nice to be able to ride right to Newbury St. and have a better chance to find parking.
Finding nooks and crannies are hard here.. because one parking attendant would say it's cool, and the next one coming by would write me a ticket. This happened to me TWICE downtown.. I just look for bike racks now.. so far it seems to be the place where everyone can park without issues downtown here.. (except inside parking garages.. those nazi's)
i find offering an open air (not garage) parking lot attendant $5 to tuck the bike in a corner/area that cars can't fit usually works well.
