So what's this I hear of you trying to screw some kid on Ebay by selling him a trashed Bostrum that's been totally rebuilt with a TL-R motor? Man! You're bad!

Worst of all I'm gettin' shit from some guy who I don't even know. What's the world comin' to? The site looks really slick. Better than most large company sites. kudos to Josh and whoever else has input. This weather this season has really sucked so I haven't been to the track much, hopefully with the summer and warmer temps also comes drier weather. Do the same characters still post regularly? And, how was Stonerstock this year. Sorry I missed the tequila shots. : (

GERARD! Long time no talk, wassuppp!! How's the racing going? I bragged about you and Derek so much that Kevin just had to race with you guys -- although he's riding an EX500. Will Josh be next to get the racing bug?

During the accident last year, I did a stoppie to avoid killing a pitbull dog (one of several running back and forth across a main road in VT).
I was avoiding a giraffe when I dropped my bike

I believe pinhead was simply making a point. No need to get anyones panties in a bunch.

Some bikes have been flipped, low-sided and high-sided.
A few of the NESR race bikes might qualify. Most owners aren't 100% truthful when they sell a used bike.

Why am I even replying to these posts?? This thread has become pointless.

I don't really know either of you, I think you should make up...

Mick...heyyyy....gee it's like a frickin' reunion. Seems like I've been gone for years. How've you been? How's the wife? Been riding much? I saw the Tuono at Seacoast. Nice bike, but I still like the Bostrom way better. Nope, I didn't sell it. PinHead fucked up all my sales...LMAO...Actually it was a half hearted sales effort, since everyone wanted me to keep the bike. Family included. I'll probably keep it another year, then sell it and get a 999 or whatever new bike Ducati comes out with.

Hey Jeff. Yeah, RHINO Body Armor has taken a lot of my time, but it keeps me focused on motorcycling, which is good, although we're selling a lot of product to people who participate in other impact sports, like BMX, cycling, motocross and power boating.

As long as there are internet boards, there are going to be critical comments. Plus, when you lead a lot of rides, you become a focal point of attention. Some people criticize you, some people try to emulate you. That comes with the territory. In the end, most people seem cool in person. I just visited the SRNE board, which I haven't been on in ages. It looks like a lot of new people trying to see if there are other people who ride in their area, but few actual rides. Oh well. Like I say, you want to be a leader, you've got to be prepared to handle the fallout, which most people would rather do without. I also see that there are no longer any SRNE endorsed rides. That kind of sucks, but I understand the concern of the site leaders, who have also done an excellent job of maintaining a professional quality website. I've found it's better to get together with a group of similar riders. Less bitching, fewer incidents and generally a better ride, although the large group Vermont trips were a blast.

Does this explain the NESR accident of a few years ago? Was Chuck traveling at a slow rate forcing others to brake around the corner? Nahhhhh

I think Chuck has bad luck. Between riders getting seriously injured and dogs running out in front of him, it can't get much worse.

If he leads another ride, I will stay home.

Perhaps the warmth of your smiling faces has changed my luck for the better. Well at least I know the body armor works. Lets see...kid tested mother approved worked for Kix...how about crash tested racer approved...hmm.

The made the racer approved post with both Derek and Gerard in mind. Both Derek and Gerard have full sets of RHINO Body Armor that they bought at a discount. The armor is guaranteed for life and we'll extend the same offer to any NESR racer. At the time, only Derek and Gerard raced for NESR. We also have very trick metallic decals and really cool patches which I'd be happy to give to any of the racers. (we also include a set with the body armor).

Actually, it was me travelling at a slow rate and Mike being too close to me in the corner that caused him to crash. Basically, I saw the wet road surface and trailbraked accordingly, he put his brakes on and slid the back end.

I wear, and wholeheartedly endorse the back protector. I don't wear the chest protector as I find it too constricting.

Chuck, send us some patches wrapped up in a nice check and we will put them on our leathers alongside all the other sponsors.

Thanks for the endorsement, Derek. My own chest protector was a bit snug to fit into my leathers last year. Since then, I've lost almost 15 lbs., so it fits in my leathers nicely now. I generally tell people that if their leathers are tight, a chest protector won't fit, despite its slim 3/8"-7/16" thickness. This is due to the larger coverage area of the back protector which takes up more volume inside a set of leathers.

Racing can be an expensive undertaking. Who sponsors the team? I'm sure that the club dues could offset some of the expenses...doh...oops, there are no club dues. Wow, a bargain to be sure! We should hit people up for a few bucks to offset the cost of the website (upgrades, hosting, software, etc., and kick a bit to the race team). Not sure if people would object to that or not though.
