It's not IMO, but people will ask for it right now. When I was searching for a CRF Rally, most people were asking $5000-5500ish range (they were all 2017-2020), which is brand new pricing territory. Most of those listings are still on the marketplace 6 months later, but at much more reasonable prices now.
I ended up getting one from a sane seller who actually wanted to sell it for $3850. Just gotta be willing to be patient right now, as everyone thinks they have gold.

So I bought my 2006 300xcw in 2010. Guy never rode it. No pictures on craigslist. Emailed the guy and he sent these. I figured they were from when he bought it new. Nope, current. Put a battery in the dash and it showed 9 hrs. Took it home for $3000.

That's odd. You've always struck me as a "I drive a big truck" kinda guy.

Neighbor was literally leaving notes in my mailbox and showing up at my doorstep asking to buy it.
Made me a silly offer. It needed money put into it. He had the knowledge and money to do the body work required. It made sense all around.

Re: Bouncing around the idea of selling the RC51 and getting a plated dirtbike
I use these: https://www.doubletakemirror.com/
I believe I have the Enduro model, but when I bought mine they didn’t have the model options now shown on their website. I like the flexibility of the ram mounts. If I’m trailering to a riding site, I simply pop the mirror off. If I’m dual sporting, I can quickly tuck it out of the way when I get to a trail.

And they sell replacement glass for when you inevitability smash one after doing something stupid.

Re: Bouncing around the idea of selling the RC51 and getting a plated dirtbike
And if you’re doing any real trail riding, get some bark busters. I’m amazed these bikes don’t come with them.
