    State Farm - 1 ; The Butcher - 0

    Good bye, FZ1.

You will always have a spot in my heart. I did everything I could to keep you but that bitch in the Claims Department submitted everything to the Total Loss Department anyway and, even with 2hrs of phone calls, there was no getting out of it. Just realize a little piece of me died today and I simply do not understand why the emotional attachment I have to this bike.

Argo Cycle is getting one hell of totaled machine, lemme just say.

Anyone who's interested in a Corbin with backrest as well as the Yamaha tall windshield for a 2001-2005 FZ1, feel free to contact me.

I don't know. I'm trying to finish wading through the sea of emotions. Guess I'll be joining the "Disappointment Party" at the track this weekend, eh?

For now, I'm stealing my sister's FZ6 after she has her shoulder surgery so that will give me a chance to throw someone else's bike down the tarmac instead of my own.

EDIT: Wait, I didn't just day that.

Why can't you buy it back from State Farm? Why does it have to go to Argo?

I didn't want to commit to a salvaged title machine. I want to keep that stigma away from my machines. It's personal preference thing and nothing more.

Gotcha. And I agree, I'd not want the salvaged title either, plus they can give more headache than they are worth at times. Bummer about the bike though.

I still miss my 94 gixxer 750 that I bought 11/11/1996, and sold 11/11/2000... even though it's way over weight and way under powered by todays standards.

Thank you Daniel. It truly feels like I've just lost my first love....the cuts run deep at the moment. It's baffling why I feel this way, really, because it's a fricken motorcycle!

I will certainly be taking this time to explore my many options but I fear nothing will replace what that machine has offered me over the years. Most of my riding skills were initiated and honed on that bike and between the amount of time and effort keeping it maintained, upgraded and in good shape, it figures the first and only time I crash it is what completely does it in.

    GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!

My zx6r (that ugly green stickered thing that I was riding when I flicked you off) sits in the Atrium parking lot right up the road if you need to satisfy your desire to go out for a rip. Just have her back by noon so I don't have to take your lawnmower to go get lunch.

Ted, I don't think you understand.....I swing a leg over that 1098 and that'll be it.

BTW; I checked insurance rates on that bike today.....gotta say it made me happy.

That sucks buddy. My condolences, seriously. That was an awesome machine, I'm sure you'll miss it. take your time and make sure the next bike can fill the void, don't rush just to replace it.

Gimme a ring if you need to lose yourself in a series of college towns full of eye candy and fun bars with a guest room within walking distance. Or if you just wanna chat. Either or.

It wasn't *that* bad at all. Thing is the cycle shop wrote for any and all damages on that side. I tried my damndest to level with the insurance company and suggested that some of those damages were already there. It fell of deaf ears and I had 3 choices, fix it on my own dime, do the buy back thing or total it.

At the moment I don't see a Tuono in my future....hell, I don't even see streetriding in my future.

    Doooooode

If you bought it strait back from the ins company ther would be NO salvage title involved. Or maybe I just got lucky.

I feel your pain though. There is something stupid about those fizzers???

If you ever need a fizzy fix you can ride mine when ever you want. It's a far cry from what a stock FZ1 is and set up for (GMD+Penske magic)my fat ass. But when ever you want you can ride it.
