Why everybody always brake checking me??

2 days, 2 rides, 2 caravans, 2 brake checks. Blinkers are wonderful things. Just seems like they aren't standard equipment on them there car-or-vans!! Down hill, back country road, poor little VW bunny behind me, dunderhead bitch in caravan ahead of me, pumps 'em, again, 50ish mph, no blink, "You are not stopping??! Shit!!" Whoa'd up, tire squeal from bunny rabbit, left blinker from caravan, Oh! That's where you live!! Fucking caravans...

Eh... just take a chill pill and back off.

You can spot these kinds of drivers a mile away.

Happened to me last night. Stupid kid in a maxima. Dragging his brakes all the way through every turn. Really annoying but after the first time he did it I just backed way off right before I turned in.

Too bad we can't send them all back to driver's ed.

    Ben

I've often wondered how many accidents would be prevented if it were a $3,000 fine for not using your directionals.

My personal rule: step on your brake once, I brake with you. step on your brake a second time and I'll go around you.

    Since you got me going...

    After YEARS of driving I-90;
people do the opposite of what is required to change lanes. They turn the wheel first, put the blinker on second (if at all), and look to see what, if anything ,they are going to hit third.

They (yes, THEY because I don't do it!) need to look first, use the directional second, and initiate their lane change last.

Why everybody always brake checking me??

A kid cut me off when changing lanes without signaling yesterday. I caught up to him at a light and explained to him the importance of signaling lane changes. I was pissed and he was scared!

Of course, do that in the wrong place and you could end up with a crossbow bolt in you. Another reason for good gear I guess.

I've never found the "pretend every driver is trying to kill you" method of defensive riding to be very practical, but "pretend every driver is a total idiot" isn't much of a stretch at all!

Good to remember, too, when you're trying to get around them after they have braked three times for no apparent reason and then drifted to the right, because you know what comes next is an unsignalled left-hand turn.

Why everybody always brake checking me??

it's not always the cage drivers, many times the motorcyclist is the idiot, yesterday, I was riuding in traffic, right in front of me was a biker (could have been a hardley or a fake hardley) following a truck (26± foot box) he was following about 0.5-0.8 sec behind and dead center, right in one of the trucks blind spots.

On another note, I had an interesting little incident yesterday, I came to a stop sight at the bttom of my road, there was a pickup already stopped and waiting for a break in traffic, when he got the break and pulled into traffic, his tailgate came open and he lost half of his load right in front of me, no p-roblem for me as I stop about a car length back, if I'd have been any closer, some of the stuff would have rolled right into me, glad it happend there instead of 30 seconds later.

    Try this

1)Get a pocket full of pepples and if you can get in front of the cut-off-r just throw them over your head.
2)Turn and flip bird with many choice words that make you feel better.
    3)Punch it!

That concludes our road rage lesson of the day
