Brand Matter or just Preference?

I decided to actually go with the 2011 GSX-R only for a couple reasons.

1.) I had half down and they let the bike go OTD for $9,900

-my OTD price was 1k less, with accessories. and its red.

I understand what out the door price is. If I had 9900 to pay it would be. however there are finance charges for the bank loan and interest. I also had to pay tax title and registration which is why the loan went up to 11,000 I did get the bike for 9900 out the door.

forget the interest; that's not taken into account for the OTD price b/c if you pay it off early, you pay less in interest. ie, if you took out a loan for $9900 and found $9900 in your pants pocket tomorrow, you could pay the whole thing off at $9900. however, if you're adding on tax, title, etc on top of the $9900, then you actually do NOT know what OTD price means. the OTD price is the price of everything up front, including tax, title, registration, assembly, delivery, destination, blinker fluid fillup, anal rape fee, etc. if you took out a loan for $11,000, then THAT is your OTD price.

if they haven't yet settled the issue with the warranties, etc, please don't give them your $, or get it back now if you already did. not sure why you're in such a rush - the bike will still be there, and they have a ton of them, like you said. get the money issues settled first.

i'm also at a loss for why you keep asking for advice but go back to your original plan every time.

yep we tried that route but it wouldn't hold oil so I bought a new pan, gasket and bolts. And that was my first time using a torque wrench and I never tested it. It was also my first oil change on a bike that had an aluminum pan and steel bolt.

Dude- he ass-packed a CX-7- they are much easier to miss seeing stopped in front of you then a Tribute. Totally understandable how he could have missed that stopped 4000 pound of metal in front of him.
