    Breaking in new race suits

Ok so I got a new race ( Cortech) suit for Christmas after tying it on and seeing that it fit, I put it in the closet till yesterday.. Still fits... Was thinking about break in, what's the best way to go about this other then just wearing it around the house? Riding in it is not an option at this point. Been awhile since I needed to do this so just seeing what the forum has to offer up? This suit is not a stand around cut suit its size to be comfy on the bike in a crouch.. Nice suit for the money by the way...
    Thanks

First you screw, then you bolt.

Lol, I dunno, but I'm in the same boat. I got a new set of vansons hanging up. This might seem strange, but I actually bought their lighter weight suit. I wasn't really considering it, but I tried the suit on and it fit soooo much better than any suit I've ever tried actually. So comfy I don't think break in is an issue. It is the same weight as most non vanson brands heaviest duty suits.

Double zip, speed hump, and armor that is a little lower profile that the vanson pro suits. For a small guy like me, that was always a bit awkward for fit. The armor was just too bulky making the suit loose in spots. I actually went down a size because it fits so much better.

Time will tell how good it is, but right now I'm a happy camper.

I bought a new Dainese last spring that was a bit tight. The advice was to shower in it, or sleep in it a couple nights..wasn't a big fan of soaking a new suit in the shower, so I slept in it a couple times. It worked quite well

LOL, sleeping in a suit with a speed hump would be a challenge. I'll have to try this while Kerry's here...

I am one of those unfortunates who does not fit well into an off the rack suit. Loose around the butt and stomach, tight across the chest.

I took a hot shower in it then rode around for a while. It stretched the suit out to where I could wear it comfortably.

put it back in the closet and wait till the first session. it'll break in simply from using it.

Don't foresee Sleeping in it, Speed hump and Wife might make things a tad uncomfortable... The shower is out but thanks for the tip... My last suit was a Joe Rocket and was maybe the most comfortable suit I owned but lasted only three crashes. Two Vansons before that, one was cut off me the other lasted ten plus years. This Cortech has the same weight as the Vanson but the perforations , Stretch panels and armor look to be a upgrade..

I'm certain most wives and girlfriends don't like the speed hump in bed.
